...City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy

THE LEVEL 2 AWARD is a short course designed to be an introduction to the advocacy role

- you can enrol at any point
- learners take on average 2 - 12 weeks to complete

The Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy is an introductory qualification for people who are interested in acquiring knowledge about the role of an Independent Advocate.

The qualification covers the principles of independent advocacy, the independent advocacy role, communication and equality and inclusion within independent advocacy.  It allows you to progress to the Level 4 Certificate in Independent Advocacy Practice (although you can enrol straight onto the Level 4 if you prefer).

This unit is ideal for people who are not working in the independent advocacy role but are looking to begin a career or role in independent advocacy.  It is also ideal for learners who use advocacy skills as part of their role and wish to develop a deeper understanding of advocacy skills.

The Award is a useful course for carers or professionals who work alongside Independent Advocates and would like a better understanding of the Independent Advocacy role.

It is also attractive to peer or self advocates who would like to achieve a formal qualification in Independent Advocacy to recognise existing skills.

To complete the Award you will complete an on line e-learning course and then produce written work which is assessed.  We can help you produce this and you will receive 1:1 assessor support and guidance throughout.  If you have specific needs, let us know so we can work with you and put in place the right level of support to help you complete.

The cost is £250 + VAT
